Day 52 ARGENTINA Mendoza

Mendoza is our first destination in Argentina, just accross the Andes from Santiago. It has some very nice shady streets and a European feel thanks to the cafes with terraces.

Apart from that, there is not much too see because all of the colonial town was destroyed in 1861 by an earthquake! But the place is like a museum for old cars!! Even some old models one had forgotten the existance.

But Argentines are very proud of their cars, so if it is not for sale, don´t bother asking...

The best surprise about Mendoza though is the great "European" local food: Jamon Serrano, olives, wine and cheese!

We had a great picnic in small park.

But really, the best about Mendoza is to relax at the of the cafes!
